Terms & Conditions for the NACFB Commercial Finance Expo attendees
1. Definitions
In these Conditions:
‘NACFB’ – National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers
‘Organiser’ - means NACFB Member Services Ltd. (a company registered in England and Wales under company number 3305378) whose registered office is 33 Eastcheap, London, EC3M
‘Delegate’ - means any person or persons firm or company (including his or her contractors or agents) applying to attend the NACFB Commercial Finance Expo held by NACFB Member Services Ltd.
‘Additional Regulations’ -means the regulations issued by the Venue Owner in relation to Exhibitions held at the Venue.
‘Agreement’- means the agreement between the Exhibitor and the NACFB pursuant to which the Exhibitor agrees to along with these Terms, and the Additional Regulations.
’Data Protection Laws’- means any applicable laws or regulations which governs the collection and processing of personal data (as amended or superseded from time to time) including (without limitation and as applicable) the Data Protection Act 2018, and , the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and the retained EU Law version of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) (UK GDPR).
’Exhibit’ - means any article so described by the Exhibitor and permitted by the NACFB to be exhibited at the Exhibition.
’Venue’- Owner means the proprietor of the Venue, together with its agents, employees and workmen.
‘Exhibition’- means the NACFB Commercial Financial Expo 2025
‘Attendees’ – means any and all persons, firms or parties who are participating, viewing, visiting or a guest of the Exhibition.
2. Registration and Access
2.1 Attendees must register for the Exhibition via the official NACFB Commercial Finance Expo registration portal or any other method specified by the NACFB, using accurate details including an individual business email address.
2.2 All badges or access credentials issued by the Exhibition organisers must be worn at all times during the Exhibition and must not be shared, transferred, or tampered with.
2.3 Attendance to the Exhibition is open only to Commercial Intermediaries and Brokers. Onsite registration is available on the day and Attendees registering at the Exhibition are bound by these terms and conditions. The NACFB reserves the right to turn away Attendees who are deemed unsuitable to attend.
2.4 The NACFB reserves the right to amend registration details, or any other material shared with the NACFB to fit with NACFB style templates.
2.5 If you need to update your registration information, you can contact the NACFB team directly who will be able to assist.
2.6 While the NACFB endeavours to ensure that the Website ("the Website") is available 24 hours a day, the NACFB will not be liable if for any reason the Website is unavailable in part or whole at any time or for any period including, without limitation, during the last 24 hours before online registration closes. Access to the Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance, repair or for reasons beyond the NACFB's control. The NACFB will not be liable for any loss or damage caused due to any problems with the Website.
2.7 False representation or sharing of misleading information will result in denial of access or rejection from the Exhibition and may result in denied attendance to future NACFB Exhibitions and may trigger a review of membership by the NACFB if deemed appropriate.
3. Data Usage and Protection
3.1 Collection of Data
By registering for the Exhibition, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data by the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) for the purpose of Exhibition management, communication, and relevant marketing.
3.2 Data usage
Your registration data will be used to communicate with you regarding the NACFB Commercial Finance Expo and all future events organised exclusively by the NACFB. The NACFB will share data with third parties only to deliver services that relate to the event, if deemed appropriate. By agreeing to these terms and conditions the attendee agrees to receiving information regarding membership and other associated services of the NACFB.
3.3 Data Sharing
Your registration data may be shared with exhibitors, sponsors, and other third parties involved in the Exhibition for the purposes of networking and Exhibition-related communications, services and activities.
3.4 Exhibition mobile app
Using the official NACFB Expo show app does not share your data with other attendees. Users are able to opt into making their profile private and have the option to opt out of receiving notifications via the App.
3.5 Opting Out
If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from third parties or the Exhibition organisers, you may opt out by contacting the NACFB directly.
3.6 Data Protection
The NACFB will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For more information on how your data will be handled, please refer to the NACFB privacy policy available on the Exhibition registration website.
Data Protection If any Personal Data are disclosed by the NACFB to you in connection with the Exhibition, you shall, in relation to such Personal Data:
Process the Personal Data only in accordance with instructions from the NACFB;
Process the Personal Data only to the extent, and in such a manner, as is necessary for the performance of your obligations under these Terms or as is required by law;
Implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the Personal Data against unauthorised or unlawful
3.7 Official show badge
Your badge's unique barcode can only be read by official show scanners. Photos or social media posts of your badge do not expose your data. Allowing an exhibitor to scan your badge gives them permission to contact you after the Exhibition.
3.8 Post Exhibition analysis
By registering for the Exhibition attendees’ consent to the NACFB usage of details to contact you to obtain post Exhibition feedback.
4. Onsite Conduct and Behaviour
4.1 Conduct
i. Attendees are expected to act professionally and respectfully towards fellow attendee, exhibitors, staff, and all other persons present at the Exhibition. Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to harassment, intimidation, or offensive language, will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the Exhibition, and prohibit access to future NACFB Exhibitions.
ii. Any conduct deemed to cause reputational risk or damage prior to or on the day of the NACFB Commercial Finance Expo to the NACFB will result in refusal of entry, rejection from the Exhibition, denied attendance to future NACFB Exhibitions and may trigger a review of membership by the NACFB if deemed appropriate.
4.2 Branded clothing
Delegates are not permitted to wear branded clothing at the Exhibition and maybe refused entry to the Exhibition.
4.3 Canvassing
This Exhibition is for business professionals only. Canvassing by non-exhibitors is prohibited. Attendees promoting their business/services without exhibiting will be asked to leave.
4.4 Dress code
Attendees are expected to be in professional attire at all times during the Exhibition.
4.5 Health and Safety
Attendees, exhibitors and service providers must comply with all health and safety guidelines set forth by the NACFB Exhibition, the venue, and local authorities.
4.6 Alcohol and Substances
The consumption of alcohol or illegal substances during the Exhibition is strictly prohibited, except in designated areas where alcohol is served in accordance with governing bodies rules. Any attendees, exhibitors or service providers found violating this policy will be removed from the Exhibition immediately and access prohibited to future NACFB Exhibitions.
5. Exhibition Changes and Cancellations
5.1 The NACFB reserves the right to modify the Exhibition schedule, location, format, or content as necessary or due to unforeseen circumstances. Attendees will be informed of any significant changes as soon as reasonably possible.
5.2 If an attendee is unable to attend the Exhibition, they are not obliged to notify the NACFB.
5.3 Cancellation by Exhibition organiser; in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling by the NACFB, attendees will be notified promptly, and the NACFB will provide details regarding any rescheduling. The NACFB would not be liable for any losses incurred by attendees when cancelling or rescheduling the Exhibition.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, and content, associated with the Exhibition, are owned by the NACFB or its licensors.
6.2 Attendees, exhibitors and service providers are not permitted to use any intellectual property of the NACFB or other Exhibition participants without prior written consent.
6.3 The NACFB may film or permit filming during the Exhibition. Attendance implies consent for the organisers/approved third parties to use any footage. All Exhibition footage is the organisers' intellectual property and cannot be used without permission. The NACFB may remove anyone filming or photographing in restricted areas.
6.4 By attending the Exhibition, you acknowledge and consent that all photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings may be taken during the Exhibition and used by NACFB for promotional and marketing purposes across various media platforms. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify Exhibition staff or refrain from entering designated areas where filming or photography is taking place.
6.5 Marketing content created at the Exhibition requires approval of the NACFB.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 The NACFB is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or inconvenience caused to any attendees, exhibitors and service providers or their property as a result of registering for or attending the Exhibition, or the Exhibition's rescheduling or cancellation.
7.2 Attendees are advised to ensure they have appropriate insurance to cover any potential risks associated with the Exhibition.
7.3 The NACFB shall not be liable for any claim made by any Attendees after the Exhibition.
7.4 Except as set out in this Agreement, the NACFB excludes all conditions, terms, representations (other than fraudulent or negligent representations) and warranties relating to services provided in respect of the Exhibition, whether imposed by statute or by operation of law or otherwise, that are not expressly stated herein, including without limitation, the implied warranties of satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose.
7.5 the NACFB shall have no liability for any damage, theft or loss of property that occurs at the Exhibition. Attendees shall participate in the Exhibition at its own risk and take out all appropriate insurances.
7.6 the NACFB shall not be liable to you for: loss of profits; loss of business; depletion of goodwill and/or similar losses; loss of anticipated savings; loss of goods; loss of contract; loss of use; loss of corruption of data or information; or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.
8. Powers and Discretion of NACFB
8.1 The NACFB reserves the right to remove from the Exhibition any person whose presence, in the opinion of the NACFB, is or is likely to be undesirable and the NACFB may exercise such rights notwithstanding that any person is the servant or agent of the Exhibitor or otherwise in any way connected or associated with the Exhibitor.
9. Governing Law
9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Whole Agreement
10.1 This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, policies, assurances, warranties, representation and understandings between them, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter, excluding the exhibitor agreements regarding taking an official exhibitor stand.
11. Relationship of the Parties
11.1 Nothing in this Agreement shall create or be deemed to create a partnership or joint venture or relationship of employer and employee or principal and agent between the parties.
12. Rights of Third Parties
12.1 A person who is not a party to the Agreement shall not have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms of the Agreement.
13. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
13.1 The NACFB reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to Attendees through the Exhibition website or email prior to the Exhibition. 13.2 By registering for the Exhibition, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
